Local sources in Badakhshan Province say that Parvez Mujahid, a former police officer under Afghanistan’s former republican government, died in a hospital after allegedly suffering a brain hemorrhage as a result of being beaten by Mawlavi Siraj, the Taliban’s intelligence official in Shahda District.
According to the sources, the incident occurred some time ago, and Parvez Mujahid was receiving medical treatment after being transferred to a healthcare facility. However, he later succumbed to the severity of his injuries.
The Taliban have not yet issued any official response or comment regarding the allegations or the cause of Parvez Mujahid’s death. Therefore, the details of the incident have not been independently verified so far.
