The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) has denied reports claiming that the Strait of Hormuz has been closed and that maritime traffic has come to a halt.
In an official statement, CENTCOM said that allegations made by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) suggesting the closure of this strategic maritime passage are not true.
The statement emphasized that commercial vessels continue to transit the Strait of Hormuz normally, and that maritime traffic remains fully uninterrupted.
According to available information, international commercial shipping continues its usual operations, and conditions along the route remain normal.
Meanwhile, tensions between Iran and the United States in regional waters continue, with both sides issuing conflicting statements against each other.
