On Monday, residents of Kabul reported hearing an explosion in the capital. According to them, the incident was followed by a fire, and a large column of dense smoke was seen rising into the sky. No precise information has yet been released regarding the nature of the explosion.
Preliminary reports indicate that the incident occurred in the Parwan-e-Som area within Police District 4 of Kabul. Some local residents stated that the sound of the explosion was clearly felt in nearby areas as well. Images received from the scene also show smoke rising from the location of the incident.
