Anti-Taliban fronts have claimed in a statement that 37 former Afghan government military personnel have been killed by individuals affiliated with the Taliban over the past month. According to these groups, the incidents occurred in Kabul and several provinces across Afghanistan.
The statement said that the latest case involved Abdul Jabbar Ahmadi, a former military officer from Yawan district of Badakhshan province. According to the claim, he was shot dead last night in Takhar province after spending five years living in Iran.
The anti-Taliban fronts alleged that Abdul Jabbar Ahmadi was deliberately targeted and killed. No further details have so far been released regarding the circumstances of the incident.
