The source added that her family paid approximately 118,000 Afghanis for her release, and the amount was delivered to the relevant parties in several installments.

It is also claimed that she was treated improperly during her detention. According to the source, Habiba Salihi was arrested because of posting content against the Taliban on social media, and these activities were considered the main reason for her detention.

Habiba Salihi, who previously worked in journalism, was arrested on the 23rd of Sawr in the 15th district of Herat city. Prior to the Taliban’s rule, she had been a presenter of a television program in Herat.
