The spokesperson for the National Security and Foreign Affairs Committee of the Iranian Parliament, Ibrahim Rezaei, has stated that Pakistan is not suitable as a mediator for negotiations and lacks the necessary credibility to play such a role. Rezaei emphasized that for any important and sensitive discussions, countries should be selected that have earned the trust of both parties and whose neutrality has been proven. According to him, credibility and political balance are important conditions for mediation, which Pakistan currently does not fulfill. He further stated that Iran has always supported direct talks and seeks to resolve issues through diplomatic means.
