The leader of the Taliban, Mullah Hebatullah Akhundzada, in his recent speech at a seminar with officials from the group’s Ministry of Finance and provincial governors, once again made no mention of the attacks carried out by Pakistan.
This comes at a time when recent attacks by Pakistani forces on the center of Kunar province and the districts of Sarkano and Khas Kunar have resulted in 7 deaths and dozens of injuries.
So far, the Taliban leadership has not issued an official response to these incidents.
Meanwhile, local residents are concerned about the deteriorating security situation in Kunar province and the safety of civilians.
