The leader of the Hezb-e-Wahdat party, Mohammad Mohaqiq, has once again made harsh remarks against the Taliban following his recent controversial statements. Previously, he had praised the Pakistani army chief and commented on the recognition of the Durand Line, but now he has warned that the Taliban should not deteriorate their relations with the neighboring countries. Mohaqiq stated that if the Taliban turn even Iran against them, the situation will become difficult, and “the bright day will turn into a dark night.” According to him, confronting key regional countries will have serious consequences for the Taliban. These remarks come at a time when the Taliban are trying to expand and stabilize their relations with neighboring countries, but such warnings from political figures increase concerns about future political changes in the region.
