Molana Abdulhamid, the Sunni Friday prayer leader of Zahedan, expressed hope during Eid al-Adha ceremonies that the ongoing talks between Iran and the United States would succeed and that the two countries would reach an agreement preventing war.
He said that although he is not aware of the details of any potential agreement, he has always emphasized the need for a “fair agreement.” According to him, some people who had previously opposed this position have now come to support it.
Abdulhamid added that some of his past statements had faced criticism, but it later became clear that those remarks were “correct and appropriate.”
The Sunni Friday prayer leader of Zahedan stressed that they seek the well-being of Iran and its people, and described listening to the people’s voices and gaining their satisfaction as the country’s greatest need.
He said that the country and the government belong to the people; therefore, officials should make serving the people and earning their satisfaction their top priority.
At the end of his remarks, Molana Abdulhamid expressed hope that a new chapter would begin in Iran one in which the country’s national interests would once again be placed in the hands of the people. According to him, national interests are more important than anything else, and all actions should be carried out for the benefit and welfare of the people.
