The Taliban's Ministry of Justice announced that 25 acres of land in a township known as "Customize and Rustam Haidari" in Kabul city have been designated as state (Emarati) property following a Sharia ruling by a special court.
In a statement released today (Saturday, July 25), the ministry specified that the land belonging to this township is located in Police Districts 4 and 17 of Kabul city.
According to the Ministry of Justice, the "Commission for the Prevention of Land Grabbing and Restitution of Grabbed Lands" reviewed the township's documents and determined that the property had previously been expropriated and registered under the state's name with the Kabul Municipality.
The Taliban have initiated a broader review of property documents for various residential townships across the country, particularly those established during the two decades of the former republic.
Over the past four years, the Taliban’s Ministry of Justice has declared numerous townships in Kabul, Balkh, Herat, Nangarhar, Ghazni, and several other Afghan cities as state-owned property. Most recently, about 10 days ago, the ministry declared 532 acres of land in the "Ghaibi Baba" township in Kabul's 17th district as state property.
