The United Front of Afghanistan says its forces have carried out attacks on Taliban positions in areas of Dawlatabad district in Balkh province and Band district in Faryab province.
According to the front, four Taliban fighters were killed and four others wounded in the clashes. The United Front also claims that its forces seized a number of Taliban weapons and pieces of equipment during the operations.
The United Front further says that, in a separate attack, its forces targeted a security checkpoint last night in the Malghi area of the newly established Bandar district in Faryab.
According to the front, the attack ended following heavy fighting.
The Taliban have so far made no statement to the media regarding the attacks, the reported casualties, or the alleged seizure of weapons and equipment.
