Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on the social media platform X that Ukrainian forces have targeted vessels in the Caspian Sea during long-range strikes. According to Zelensky, the ships were being used to transport military shipments linked to the Islamic Republic of Iran. He added that a warship was also hit during the attacks.
Zelensky further written that overnight strikes by Ukrainian forces targeted objectives across several regions in Russia. He specified that these targets included a military factory in Kirov, an oil refinery in Tyumen, a logistics center in Yekaterinburg, and a fuel depot in Rostov-on-Don.
Russian officials have not officially commented on the details of these claims, and the reports cannot be independently verified.
