The Ministry of Information and Culture of the Taliban has announced that a joint meeting will soon be held to review and implement the 17th decree of Hibatullah Akhundzada in Zabul province.

According to the ministry, this meeting will be attended by Emirate officials, scholars, professors, tribal leaders, writers, media representatives, and youth.

Officials have stated that the aim of the meeting is to discuss how to implement the decree related to preventing “immoral practices.”

In recent months, the issuance of such decrees has raised concerns among some citizens and civil activists about the restriction of social and cultural freedoms.

Zabul province, as one of the southern provinces of Afghanistan with its traditional structure, may be directly affected by the implementation of this decision.
