The Afghanistan national cricket team secured another victory over Ireland in the fifth match of the five-match One Day International (ODI) series, finishing the series with a 4–0 result.
Ireland batted first and scored 298 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 50 overs. Afghanistan successfully chased down the target of 299 runs in 48.5 overs, losing four wickets, and won the match by six wickets.
In the run chase, Rahmat Shah Zarmati played a pivotal role in Afghanistan’s victory, scoring an unbeaten 143 runs. Sediqullah Atal also contributed 98 runs and formed a crucial partnership with Rahmat Shah to guide Afghanistan to victory.
With this result, Afghanistan won four of the five matches, while one ended in a draw, marking their best-ever series performance against Ireland.
