In a jirga held in Nawapas between the tribal elders of Bajaur and Kunar, it was agreed, based on a decision document, that a ceasefire would be established between the two sides in the border areas.
According to the document, the ceasefire will be implemented from the Dangam district areas to Spin Jumaat, and within the framework of this decision, both sides will return to their previous centers.
The document states that this jirga structure was created in consultation with both sides the Taliban and the Pakistani side with the aim of reducing local conflicts and ensuring stability.
It was also agreed that any side violating this agreement will bear responsibility. To monitor and maintain the agreement, a joint meeting will be held every three months.
This decision is considered an important step toward reducing violence in the region and establishing lasting understanding.
