Ariana Afghan Airlines has announced that a chartered Boeing 767-200 aircraft has successfully arrived at Kabul International Airport.
According to a statement issued by the airline, the aircraft was secured under a six-month charter agreement following negotiations between Bakht-ur-Rahman Sharafat, President of Ariana Afghan Airlines, and officials of a Jordanian airline.
The airline said the aircraft has the capacity to carry approximately 290 passengers and up to 25 tonnes of commercial cargo per flight. It is scheduled to begin regular international operations on Monday, primarily serving the Kabul–Istanbul and Kabul–Jeddah routes.
Ariana Afghan Airlines added that the introduction of the aircraft will increase the country’s air transport capacity, provide greater convenience for passengers, and improve the speed and efficiency of commercial cargo transportation.
Bakht-ur-Rahman Sharafat described the arrival of the aircraft as an important step toward expanding Afghanistan’s air transport network, emphasizing that the airline will use its enhanced capabilities to provide higher-quality, internationally standardized services to both passengers and traders.
