The Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan, Marshal Asim Munir, along with several other senior military commanders, said in a meeting that the Taliban administration in Kabul is pursuing an “irrational and misguided approach” through the support of Pakistani armed groups.
They emphasized that this approach not only undermines regional security but also violates the national interests of the Afghan people. The army chief added that such actions could further strain relations between the two countries.
Pakistani military officials stated that the fight against terrorism is a shared responsibility of the entire region and urged Afghanistan to take serious measures against armed groups in accordance with its commitments.
So far, the Taliban administration has not issued an official response to these statements.
