At least eight Pakistani army personnel were killed in a suicide attack in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistan.
The incident occurred in the Bajaur area, near the Afghan border. According to reports, the suicide attacker targeted a gathering of Pakistani military forces.
Local sources stated that after the explosion, security forces surrounded the area and launched a search and investigation operation.
Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan claimed responsibility for the attack in a statement.
Bajaur has witnessed multiple armed attacks and similar explosions in recent years, and Pakistani security forces have carried out extensive operations to counter insurgent groups in these areas.
