Afghan mixed martial artist Farid Basharat has said that despite extending his unbeaten streak to 16 consecutive victories, the UFC has not yet approached him regarding a new contract.
Basharat secured his 16th straight win by defeating his opponent in his most recent bout. The 28-year-old remains undefeated in his professional MMA career.
Speaking to an American media outlet, Basharat said there have been no discussions with the UFC about a new contract. He added that, rather than focusing on rankings or accolades, he is eager to face the most recognized and toughest fighters in his weight division.
