The Taliban Ministry of Interior has announced that a fire at a manufacturing factory in the Herat Industrial Park caused approximately 20 million Afghanis in financial damage.
Abdul Mateen Qani, spokesperson for the Taliban Ministry of Interior, said in a statement that the fire broke out at 3:12 a.m. today (Saturday, 30 Jowza) at the “Noor Ariana” factory in the second phase of the Herat Industrial Park.
According to him, the factory, which produces paper and cardboard, sustained damages of around 20 million Afghanis.
Qani stated that Herat fire brigade teams extinguished the blaze, and goods belonging to traders worth 650 million Afghanis were saved from destruction in the incident.
He added that the fire did not result in any casualties.
