The 2026 Global Super League (GSL) concluded with the Guyana Amazon Warriors, featuring Afghan cricketers Mohammad Nabi and Rahmanullah Gurbaz, crowned champions.
In a thrilling and extraordinary final, the Guyana Amazon Warriors successfully defended a modest target of just 85 runs against the San Francisco Unicorns, bowling their opponents out for 79 to secure a historic six-run victory.
It marked the first time in the history of men’s Twenty20 cricket that a team has successfully defended a target as low as 85 runs in a final, making the triumph all the more remarkable.
Afghan all-rounder Mohammad Nabi was named Player of the Tournament for his outstanding and match-winning performances throughout the competition. Rahmanullah Gurbaz also played a pivotal role in the Guyana Amazon Warriors’ championship-winning campaign.
