Alireza Bigdeli, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kabul, says that relations between Iran and the Taliban administration are on a “constructive” path, a process that could lead to strengthened bilateral and regional cooperation. He made these remarks during the opening ceremony of the fifth international exhibition in Kabul.
He emphasized that Iran supports the Afghan private sector’s move toward economic independence, development, and public welfare, considering this approach important for strengthening the country’s economic stability.
According to him, an economy-focused approach can lay the groundwork for stable relations between the two countries, while also contributing to security and the expansion of Afghanistan’s relations with neighboring states.
The ambassador added that the development of infrastructure such as railways, roads, dams, as well as the expansion of industry and agriculture, can play a significant role in Afghanistan’s economic growth.
Bigdeli also called on businesspeople and investors from both countries to take advantage of the “friendly and brotherly” environment and increase the level of trade and economic relations between Iran and Afghanistan.
