Sources in Badakhshan say that dissident Taliban commander Juma Khan Fateh has left his military positions and surrendered to Fasihuddin Fitrat, the Taliban’s Chief of Army Staff, in the center of Nusay District.

The Taliban’s Department of Information and Culture in Badakhshan has announced that “the recent tensions have come to an end.”

Sources further report that Juma Khan Fateh was transported by helicopter from Nusay to Darwaz District by order of Fasihuddin Fitrat.
