U.S. President Donald Trump announced that White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt will step down from her position at the end of this month. According to Trump, Leavitt intends to spend more time with her family and children after leaving the role.
In a message posted on his Truth Social platform, Trump said that following her departure as White House press secretary, Leavitt would continue to serve as one of his senior advisers outside the administration. He added that she could continue to play an influential role within the Republican Party.
Praising Leavitt’s performance, Trump described her as one of the best White House press secretaries in history. He also said that his trusted aide would play a role in the Republicans’ efforts to win the upcoming midterm elections.
Trump also expressed his appreciation for Leavitt’s work since 2018, particularly praising her contribution to his 2024 presidential campaign and her work alongside the Republican campaign team.
