Following reports of the beating of a woman in Kabul, the spokesperson for the Taliban’s Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice responded, stating that the ministry has no female employees.
He stated that claims regarding the involvement of women in the incident are false and that all the ministry’s activities are carried out by male staff.
Earlier, some sources had claimed that the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, with both male and female staff, was involved in the incident of violence against a woman, but the ministry has denied these claims.
