Mirwais Azizi, Chairman of Azizi Energy, announced that he had undertaken a one-day business visit to Kabul to review and assess the progress of electricity generation projects in Afghanistan. According to him, these projects are being implemented by Azizi Energy as part of a plan to generate 10,000 megawatts of electricity in Afghanistan.
During the visit, Mr. Azizi met with the technical and implementation teams of Azizi Energy, as well as several Afghan government officials, including Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, to discuss the progress and development of the projects.
A meeting chaired by Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar was held at his office, attended by several ministers, deputy ministers, and officials from relevant government institutions. During the meeting, progress reports on ongoing projects in Kabul, Parwan, and Ghazni provinces were presented, and the latest status of these initiatives was reviewed.
The meeting also covered preparations for future projects, the next phases of implementation, and the requirements for cooperation between government institutions and Azizi Energy’s project teams. Participants emphasized the importance of continued coordination and collaboration to advance electricity generation projects in Afghanistan.
