A Swedish cyclist who traveled from Europe to Afghanistan by bicycle says he plans to continue his journey to the Wakhan Corridor in Badakhshan Province in the coming weeks.
Hedfin, who arrived in Afghanistan two weeks ago, said he intends to cycle through the challenging and mountainous terrain of the Wakhan Corridor.
Speaking to Taliban-affiliated media, he described Afghanistan as a country of remarkable natural beauty, saying its mountains, lush valleys, and pleasant climate make it an attractive destination for both domestic and international tourists.
Shahr-e Buzurg District in Badakhshan, one of the main gateways to the Wakhan Corridor, has recently attracted a growing number of domestic and foreign visitors. According to available information, the district hosts hundreds of tourists each day.
