Officials from the Taliban Ministry of Information and Culture have stated that they have discovered an ancient fortress in the “Jalogir” area of Baghlan province. According to the ministry, this fortress is approximately two thousand years old and is considered one of the region’s significant historical landmarks.
The officials added that preliminary investigations indicate that this fortress is linked to ancient civilizations and holds special historical importance. They also mentioned that further professional research will be conducted to gather more information about the site.
The Taliban Ministry of Information and Culture emphasized that the protection of historical monuments is one of their key responsibilities and they are working to preserve and register such discoveries.
