Summary

The Taliban’s 215th Azm Corps says that the bodies of 14 individuals, who were found in the deserts of Charbarak District in Nimroz Province, have been transferred from Herat to Badghis Province.

According to reports, the individuals were residents of Badghis Province and had gone missing in the deserts of Nimroz while attempting to travel illegally to Iran. It is reported that their bodies were discovered after approximately two weeks.

Sources add that five other people were also accompanying the group. They were residents of Balkh Province, and their bodies were found in the initial days following their disappearance.

In recent years, cases of Afghans dying or going missing while attempting irregular migration to Iran through the deserts and arid regions of Nimroz have occurred repeatedly.
