The Herat Chamber of Commerce says that clothing manufacturers in Herat province have, for the first time, exported a large commercial shipment of women’s and children’s clothing to Iraq.
According to information, this export shipment includes around 20,000 sets of clothing, produced in various designs and sizes for women and children. The Chamber of Commerce states that this initiative is an important step toward boosting Herat’s domestic production and gaining recognition in foreign markets.
Officials say that expanding such exports could strengthen the local manufacturers’ economy and introduce Afghan products to global markets, particularly in Middle Eastern countries.
It is reported that Herat’s clothing manufacturers are seeking to increase their exports in the future and find access to new markets.
