The Third General Assembly of the Hazara Diaspora Network was held in Malmö, Sweden, bringing together representatives of member organizations, Hazara community activists, and a number of invited guests. The assembly took place on 2–3 August under the theme, “Pathways to Integration and Participation in Host Societies.”
Participants emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation and coordination among Hazara organizations across different countries and identifying practical solutions to improve the circumstances of the Hazara community. They also underscored the need to enhance collaboration and synergy among Hazara civil society and community organizations throughout the diaspora.
At the conclusion of the assembly, participants adopted a resolution titled “Pathways to Integration in Host Societies.” The resolution outlines the Network’s strategic priorities for 2027, focusing on social integration, support for asylum seekers and refugees, youth empowerment, human rights, advocacy for the prevention of the genocide of Hazaras, civic engagement, and economic development.
Participants further highlighted the importance of preserving Hazara cultural identity while fostering successful integration into host societies. They also reaffirmed their commitment to condemning extremism and expanding cooperation among Hazara organizations, identifying these as key pillars of the Network’s future work.
The Hazara Diaspora Network concluded the assembly by inviting Hazara organizations, institutions, and community leaders to join the Network and actively participate in its initiatives to strengthen cooperation, improve coordination, and advance shared goals.
