Kamal Khan Zadran, spokesperson for the Taliban-run Balkh Public Health Directorate, announced on Thursday, July 30, that the assistance was provided by Uzbekistan’s Fergana Region. According to him, the donation is intended to support the healthcare sector and improve medical facilities at the hospital.

He said the donated equipment includes hospital beds, wheelchairs, air conditioners, refrigerators, and a range of other medical and non-medical supplies. The equipment has been handed over to health officials for use across various departments of Abu Ali Sina Balkhi Hospital.

The spokesperson said the assistance is aimed at improving healthcare services, expanding treatment capacity, and providing better conditions for patient care in Balkh Province.
