Vladimir Putin, in a message marking Eid al-Adha, congratulated Russia’s Muslims on the occasion and emphasized the role of Islamic organizations in the country’s social and cultural life.
In his message, he said that Muslims, by following religious traditions and values, celebrate Eid al-Adha on a wide scale a holiday that, according to him, calls believers toward goodness, justice, kindness, and piety.
Putin also stated that Islamic organizations in Russia are actively involved in public and cultural affairs and play an important role in strengthening family values, educating the younger generation in the spirit of patriotism, and implementing educational and charitable programs.
The Russian president further expressed appreciation for the activities of these institutions in supporting the country’s defense forces and their families, describing such efforts as worthy of respect and gratitude.
