Afghanistan’s national futsal team suffered its second consecutive defeat at the Continental Futsal Championship in Thailand, losing 2–1 to Vietnam.
Afghanistan’s only goal was scored by Reza Hosseinpour from the penalty spot, but the team was unable to turn the result around.
Afghanistan entered the match without its first-choice goalkeeper, Ahmad Esmaili, who was unavailable due to a previous red-card suspension.
As part of their upcoming fixtures in the tournament, Afghanistan’s national futsal team is scheduled to face Russia on August 5 and New Zealand on August 6.
