Awami National Party (ANP) leader Aimal Wali Khan has said that the foundational mindset of the Pakistani state is based on fear and insecurity rather than peace, love, and development.
In his remarks, he stated that a hallmark of a healthy state is that its people enjoy security, roads, schools, and healthcare facilities. However, according to him, the policies of the Pakistani state are in conflict with these values.
Aimal Wali Khan added that the prevailing approach in Pakistan’s state policies assumes that fear must be spread, explosions must occur, and kidnappings must continue actions that create major obstacles to societal progress.
He emphasized that until there is a change in the mindset and policies of the state, the arrival of lasting peace and stability in the region seems unlikely.
