Summary

Ariana Afghan airlines has announced that it has ended the monopoly of the Pakistani company “Zapways” over its systems related to ticket sales, operational activities, and website management.

According to Ariana, these systems had been managed by Zapways for nearly 15 years. Company officials say that Zapways charged high fees for its services and also maintained control over some of Ariana’s systems and related technical information.

Ariana says that it has now launched a new, modern, and internationally standardized system in cooperation with a Turkish company. According to Ariana officials, the Turkish company’s services are currently used by more than 80 international airlines around the world.

According to Ariana, the new system has been implemented at a lower cost and is intended to reduce the airline’s technical dependence on foreign companies, improve online services and ticket sales, facilitate reservations, and enhance the efficiency of its operational and commercial management.

Ariana officials further stated that the launch of the new system will provide passengers with greater convenience in purchasing tickets and accessing other online services.
