The UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) stated that the incident was recorded based on information received from a third-party source and involves a fire on a vessel. On Monday, the organization advised passing ships to maintain a safe distance in the area.
The cause of the fire is not yet known, and no details have been released regarding how it started. Additionally, there have been no reports on potential environmental impacts from the incident.
So far, official UAE authorities have not commented on the situation. Port Saqr, located in Ras Al Khaimah, is one of the major transit hubs in the southern waters of the Gulf, and such incidents could affect maritime traffic in the region.
