A new development has occurred among the political and military opposition groups in Afghanistan, in which Hamid Sefi, one of the prominent commanders of the resistance, has separated from Ahmad Massoud and announced the formation of a new political-national movement.
According to the information obtained, Sefi, who was one of the senior commanders of the former republic’s army, has now introduced a new political movement called “The Movement for Freedom and Justice.” He stated that this movement will work to ensure justice, political changes, and defend the fundamental rights of the people.
So far, the Resistance Front under the leadership of Ahmad Massoud has not issued an official stance regarding this separation.
Meanwhile, some political analysts consider this development as a sign of internal disagreements among the opposition groups and a weakening of their unified position.
