U.S. War Secretary Pete Hegseth has issued a fresh warning, stating that if Iran violates the terms of its agreement with the United States, Washington is prepared to carry out renewed military operations against Tehran.
Hegseth said that the agreement with Iran was reached “from a position of strength,” and that the United States possesses all necessary capabilities and readiness for any potential military action. According to him, if Tehran fails to fulfill its commitments, particularly regarding its nuclear program, severe pressure and sanctions will once again be imposed on Iran.
He emphasized that the United States will never allow Iran to acquire nuclear weapons and that the freedom of international navigation through the Strait of Hormuz must be maintained.
These remarks come amid ongoing discussions over the implementation of the recent agreement between Washington and Tehran and the extent to which both sides are complying with their commitments.
