Summary

The family of a young woman from Faryab Province claims that their daughter was transferred to Pakistan after disappearing in Kabul. They have also directed allegations toward individuals reportedly connected to the Taliban governor of Samangan Province.

According to information provided by the family, Nasima, a 19-year-old resident of Pakhl-Soz village in Garziwan District of Faryab Province, married a man named Sayqal, commonly known as Ikrima, approximately two years ago. The family alleges that he is the brother of one of the bodyguards assigned to the Taliban governor of Samangan.

Family members state that Nasima endured domestic difficulties and abuse following her marriage. They say that she was recently taken to a hospital in Kabul for medical treatment. According to their account, after being discharged from the hospital, she disappeared on 25 April 2025 (5 Sawr 1404) in the Deh Afghanan area of Kabul and has not returned home since.

Qari Hafizullah, Nasima’s father, claims that following her disappearance he sought assistance from various Taliban institutions, including the Ministry of Interior. However, he says that these efforts have so far yielded no results.

The family further alleges that they possess evidence indicating that Nasima was taken to the city of Quetta in Pakistan. They have also provided media outlets with a photograph which, according to them, shows Nasima alongside an individual they identify as the brother of the Taliban governor of Samangan. However, neither the authenticity of the image nor the related allegations has been independently verified.

Nasima’s father states that pursuing the case has imposed severe financial and personal burdens on the family, resulting in the loss of a significant portion of his assets.

The family has called on the relevant authorities, human rights organizations, and international institutions to investigate Nasima’s whereabouts and assist in clarifying the circumstances surrounding the case.

As of the time of publication, Taliban officials and the group’s relevant institutions had not issued any official response to the allegations.

This report is based on statements provided by Nasima’s family, and no independent verification of the claims made in connection with this case has been published to date.
