Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, spokesperson for the Pakistan Armed Forces, stated that a total of 3,145 armed attacks have occurred in the country since the beginning of 2026, resulting in the deaths of 819 military personnel and civilians.
Speaking at a press conference on Friday, July 31, he reported that among these attacks, 1,971 took place in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 1,148 in Balochistan, and 26 in other regions across Pakistan.
According to the military spokesperson, security forces conducted 40,348 intelligence-based special operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan during the same period, which resulted in the deaths of 2,084 armed militants.
Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry added that over the past seven months, an average of four military personnel and civilians lost their lives daily in militant attacks.
According to his data, the deceased include 303 army soldiers, 194 police officers, and 322 civilians.
The military spokesperson further noted that 28 suicide attacks have been recorded in the country since the start of 2026.
