The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan has rejected the recent statements of Richard Lindsay, the UK Special Representative for Afghanistan, calling them “one-sided.” The ministry states that his comments were made without a deep understanding of the region’s sensitive issues, particularly the dispute over the Durand Line.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, making such statements that do not align with the historical and political realities of the region only adds to the complexity of problems rather than resolving them. Islamabad has emphasized that existing disputes between Afghanistan and Pakistan should be resolved through mutual respect and constructive dialogue.
Pakistani officials have also stated that international representatives should approach sensitive regional issues with caution and avoid one-sided positions to prevent damaging the trust between the two countries.
