The family of Dr. Ahmad Elias Haidarian, a resident of Kabul city, says that he has been missing for the past five days and that there is still no information about his whereabouts or fate. According to his family members, efforts to locate him have so far been unsuccessful.
Dr. Haidarian’s wife, who shared his information and photograph with the media, said that one of the doctor’s friends saw him five days ago in the Kot-e-Sangi area of Kabul city. However, no further information about him has been received since then.
According to the family, Taliban authorities have so far made no official statement regarding Dr. Ahmad Elias Haidarian’s disappearance, and no details have been released about his condition or any possible place where he may be held.
Meanwhile, local sources have reported that Taliban forces detained the brother of Hamid Khurasani this morning, Sunday, in Kabul’s Fifth Police District for unknown reasons. It remains unclear whether there is any connection between this incident and Dr. Haidarian’s disappearance.
