The Afghanistan Football Federation (AFF) has announced the appointment of Sayed Mohammad Baqer Kazemi as its new spokesperson.
Kazemi is widely recognized as a prominent media figure in Afghanistan. In addition to his extensive experience in journalism and media, he has also taught at a number of the country’s academic institutions and universities.
In a statement announcing the appointment, the Afghanistan Football Federation said that Sayed Mohammad Baqer Kazemi, with many years of experience in leading Afghan media organizations, a background in university teaching, and an active role in the field of public communication, is regarded as a committed, professional, and well-informed figure.
The statement further noted that the new spokesperson has a strong passion for sports particularly football and futsal and that his experience, communication skills, and deep understanding of the media landscape, as well as the football and futsal communities, will be a valuable asset to the Afghanistan Football Federation.
The Federation also expressed confidence that, in his new role, Kazemi will play an effective part in strengthening communication between the Federation, the media, football supporters, and the country’s wider sporting community.
Previously, Mostafa Hashemi, an Afghan sports journalist, served as the spokesperson for the Afghanistan Football Federation. The Federation has not yet provided any information regarding his employment status, including whether his tenure has concluded or if he has been appointed to another position.
