The former spokesperson of the Presidential Palace of Afghanistan during the republican era, Sediq Sediqqi, has described the Taliban as the largest and most violent terrorist group in the region, stating that the people of Afghanistan will ultimately find a way to free themselves from the group’s rule.
In his latest remarks, he said that since 2001, the Taliban have killed, injured, and disabled a large number of innocent Afghans. According to him, the violence and actions of this group are unacceptable to the Afghan people.
Sediqqi also criticized those parties that meet and engage in talks with the Taliban and grant them concessions. He expressed deep concern over the ongoing process of engagement with the Taliban and the continued provision of incentives to the group.
The former presidential spokesperson emphasized that the people of Afghanistan will find a way to liberate themselves from Taliban rule and its policies. He added that despite the significant number of civilian Afghan casualties caused by Taliban attacks and operations since 2001, some parties continue to maintain relations and conduct negotiations with the group.
