Local sources in Samangan province say that a man has killed his brother in Hazrat Sultan district. According to the sources, the incident occurred following tensions and a family dispute.
The sources said the victim, identified as “Mohammad Ashraf,” was killed by gunfire on Saturday, 27 Saratan, in Kokjar village of Hazrat Sultan district. Further details about the circumstances surrounding the incident have not been made public.
Sources cited a possible dispute over land ownership as the motive behind the killing. However, the information has not yet been independently confirmed or denied by officials.
Local Taliban authorities in Samangan province have so far made no comment on the incident, and no information is available regarding the arrest or status of the alleged perpetrator.
