Zabihullah Mujahid, the Taliban spokesperson, in response to recent remarks by Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan, said that Afghan soil is not used against any country. He called on Pakistan, instead of blaming the Taliban, to prevent the activities and movements of armed groups within its own territory.
The national television, a state-run media under Taliban administration, on Monday, 21st of Sawr, broadcast a voice message from Zabihullah Mujahid, in which he rejected the recent statements of Asim Munir, Pakistan’s army chief.
The Taliban spokesperson said that this administration does not allow Afghan soil to be used against any country, including Pakistan.
Asim Munir, Pakistan’s army chief, on Sunday, during the ceremony marking the first anniversary of the four-day war between Pakistan and India, said that the activities of armed groups continue from Afghan soil and that the Taliban must eliminate “terrorist safe havens.”
In his speech in Rawalpindi, he also stated that India, after failing on the battlefield, has returned to its long-standing policy of supporting terrorism, and added that security threats continue not only from India but also from Afghan soil.
