The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Taliban has announced that, for the first time, document verification centers have been established at the district level to facilitate the provision of consular services to citizens.
In a statement issued today, Sunday, 28 Saratan, the ministry said that these centers have been established in the districts of Surobi and Qarabagh in Kabul, Jaghori in Ghazni, Kaldar (Hairatan) in Balkh, Momand Dara (Torkham) in Nangarhar, Shindand in Herat, Spin Boldak in Kandahar, Gereshk in Helmand, Imam Sahib in Kunduz, and Chamkani in Paktia.
The Taliban Ministry of Foreign Affairs added that these centers will officially begin operations on the first day of Asad 1405 (Solar Hijri calendar) and will provide document verification services to citizens.
Previously, citizens seeking document verification were required to visit the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kabul or “Afghan Post” offices located in provincial centers. The establishment of these centers is expected to make access to document verification services easier for residents of several districts.
