Local sources and several residents of Kandahar have reported a rise in mysterious killings in the province, stating that the Taliban transport bodies to cemeteries in military vehicles almost daily bodies whose identities and causes of death remain unknown.
Eyewitnesses and local sources confirm that they observe bodies being transported by Taliban military vehicles in the city on a near-daily basis.
According to some local residents, the circumstances surrounding the deaths and the identities of these individuals are never clarified, and the Taliban bury them in cemeteries under the label of "unidentified and faceless bodies."
Various sources from Kandahar city, speaking on the condition of anonymity, stated: "Some bodies are transported in Ranger vehicles; the entire city witnesses this, but we do not know who the individual is or why they were killed. No civilians accompany these bodies except for the Taliban."
Concurrently, sources at Mirwais Hospital in Kandahar report that the Taliban bring one or two bodies to the hospital every two to three days, keeping them in the morgue for a few days as unidentified deceased.
According to the sources, after this storage period, the bodies are buried in the Shurandam cemetery.
A resident of Kandahar city remarked that there may be hidden truths behind the clandestine burial of these bodies, which the Taliban want to keep from the public.
This comes alongside a recent ban imposed by the Taliban in Kandahar on posting notices about missing youth on social media platforms.
Previously, sources had reported that on May 4 (15th of Sawr), the Taliban buried 61 unidentified bodies in a single cemetery.
