The Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment and the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture have agreed to establish a joint working group to address the challenges faced by traders from both countries and expand trade cooperation.
The Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment said in a statement on Friday (August 21) that, following its delegation’s participation in an industry and construction exhibition in Iran, the delegation met with Ghadir Ghafari, Vice President of the Iran Chamber of Commerce.
According to the statement, the meeting focused on expanding trade and economic cooperation between Afghanistan and Iran, promoting joint investments, developing joint production, and strengthening relations between the two countries’ chambers of commerce.
Both sides emphasized the effective utilization of existing economic and trade potential, establishing direct ties between the private sectors of the two countries, and expanding commercial transactions, joint investments, and industrial cooperation.
According to the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment, the joint working group will systematically follow up on existing challenges in the areas of trade and investment and seek practical solutions to address them.
